A farm makes a wonderful family trip anytime of year, but especially at harvest time. There are scores of farms in the Northwest New Jersey Skylands, including dairy, produce markets, orchards, berry cultivators, equestrian centers, wineries, herb growers, honey producers, cheese makers. Here are just a few of the many places that welcome your company. So pick your own and take a ride!

Foliage Tours

Pumpkin Picking and Corn Mazes:

  • Family owned farm offers pick your own apples, pumpkins and vegetables with wagon rides on weekends, Sept. 1 - Oct. 31, 9am-4pm. All groups welcome. Gift shop, our own pressed cider, homemade baked goods, deli and market.

  • Schaefer Farms
  • Family owned and operated by members of the farming community for four generations, the working farm, market, and zoo of barnyard animals is open from early spring through Christmas. Autumn attractions include PYO pumpkins, gourds and decorations, mums, cider, corn maze, hayrides, haunted barn and Halloween Frightfest!
